TIMELINE

While I grew up, I played a myriad of musical instruments. For a large portion of my life, the violin was my favourite. I modelled this directly from reference and included the wear and tear that tells the story of the piece.

World on Wheels

TIMELINE

In Amsterdam, often reffered to as Venice of the North, nearly 70% of the population commutes by Bicycle. Not only has this become a staple to tourists but is a symbol of the city itself. In order to challenge myself in product rendering as well as recreation of a city environment, I spent countless hours detailing every unique piece of this wonderful construction.

WW1 Scene

War to End All Wars

TIMELINE

A War torn visual of the Eastern Front during the Great War. As borders shifted and blood was shed on both sides, countries formed unlikely alliances. This scene depicts a Polish soldier flying under a French flag in the historic Blue Army. In this piece, I exemplify my understanding of composition and framing. This action packed scene is my personal favourite environment piece. In addition to the environment, I recently recreate the gas mask used in this scene to challenge myself on character assets and props.

Won't Know What Hit Them

TIMELINE

Standard for the Canadian special forces and those around the world, this night vision tool showcases the very best of modern military technology. This project was part of my studies at Gnomon, specifically the Hard Surface Modelling I & II. Not only was this model designed using utility in mind, careful consideration was given to the aesthetics and camouflage needed for such equipment.

Firearm Sights

2X, 4X and Holo

TIMELINE

A variety of sights including: Acog 4x Scope, Holographic Sight, and Reflex 2x Attachment. The situation and response of a combat scenario can change rapidly and its important that a solider has the ability to quickly adjust. These modular gun sights were originally developed for a 3rd person game but later iterated to allow more detail and the possibility for their use in a 1st person title.

A US Military necessity. This M4 Carbine bears a realistic design and grunge of a weapon that has seen combat. This model was the product of 6 weeks of intensive labour during my Weapons and Props for Games course at CGMA. It has been through many iterations and customized with a plethora of attachments to mimic the real world versatility of the firearm.

Scifi + Medieval Church

Conjuction of Two Polar Opposites

TIMELINE

For a personal project, I sought to challenge myself in the creation of props and environment assets of varying styles. In order to achieve a unique style, I hoped to combine two genres which rarely ever cross; Medieval Fantasy and Science Fiction. This church is built with environmental storytelling in mind and many of the smallest pieces entail more about the purpose and setting of the scene.

Scifi Space Ship Scene

Homage to Dead Space

TIMELINE

For a class project, I was required to design a scene and break it down into modular assets. At the time, I had been quite interested in science fiction and I wanted to design something in the style of my favourite style; Dead Space. This entire scene was developed using as few unique pieces as possible with many accessories, pipes, props and even textures being reused wherever applicable.
